Post 9-11 there has been a heightened alert for terrorist activities taking place in our local ports.  Our best line of defense is a well organized proactive approach.  Our Maritime and Port patrol unit will:

* Assess all potential threats, vulnerabilities, and critical infrastructure at ports

* Maintain coordination and cooperation among agencies

* Establish guidelines for commercial facilities handling certain cargo

* Patrol rivers, shorelines, and other waterways

* Search and Rescue/Advance Scuba Divers
